About me…

I LOVE knives. I always have. I think it was unavoidable. As the daughter and granddaughter to army servicemen with a strong Italian hunting and culinary heritage, how could I not?
I grew up in the woods playing GI Joe and being called home to the kitchen to help my Nonna make gnocchi from scratch. This was often served along side game brought in by my father and his father, my Nonno. My first knife is what I’ve come to call a picnic knife; part pocket knife, part fork and spoon. That knife pretty much sums me up!
As I’ve gotten older, my love of the culinary arts and feeding people grew right along side my love of cutlery. One might say they have intermingled nicely- my knife collection includes 30+ kitchen knives and 20 or so military and EDC blades, some of them historic.
I moonlight as a manager at Williams-Sonoma (some say it’s to support my knife habit) and cutlery became “my” department. My coworkers began referring to me as “The Knife Guru”. Knife care became a constant topic of discussion with clients, friends and family- and that’s when I decided to make it official. I’ve been caring for peoples’ knives for several years now and I’d love to take care of yours.
